Khaleda to go abroad for medical treatment

BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will go abroad for better treatment if she is convicted in a corruption case. BNP joint secretary general Harunur Rashid said this on Tuesday evening after seeing a party leader in Bangabandhu Medical Center for treatment in custody. BNP MP Harun, along with two other MPs Advocates Abdus Sattar and Aminul Islam, went to see Khaleda Zia at the cabin block of BSMMU around 4pm. They were there for about an hour with the party chief.
Aaron came out later and told reporters, "He (Khaleda Zia), who is unwell, needs immediate treatment in a specialty hospital." He needs treatment abroad for this. ' "I would urge the government not to deprive him of the moral right that his bail is, in fact, the right to bail." Khaleda Zia has been jailed for two and a half years in two corruption cases. He was taken to Bangabandhu's last Mujib Medical University for a few months before he became ill. He has been there ever since. BNP leaders have always been complaining that the government is holding Khaleda's bail. On the other hand, the ruling Awami League leaders are dismissing the allegations of the BNP leaders saying that the matter is in full court jurisdiction. Asked whether the BNP chairperson would want to go abroad for medical treatment if he got bail, Harun said, "If he gets the opportunity to get treatment, he must go abroad." He will go abroad tomorrow if he gets bail today. If he gets bail today, his first priority will be his treatment. ' Advocate Abdus Sattar told the Dhaka Times, “Madam (Khaleda Zia) is very ill. Before we left, he sat in the chair next to us. I took his physical inquiry. He also investigated the leaders. Wanna know how. The Secretary-General also wanted to know about the accident. Tell everyone to stay united
